Warranty

Our flagship product, the Delray Art Deco ceiling fan, is covered under a LIMITED WARRANTY.

For your convenience, the text is reprinted here:

The Neon Fan Company warrants that your Delray Art Deco Ceiling Fan shall be free from defects in materials or workmanship, under normal use, during the Warranty Period. No other warranties or guarantees are expressed or implied.

The repair or replacement of a product is your sole exclusive remedy. In no event shall the Neon Fan Company be liable for incidental or consequential damages.

The Warranty Period varies by component of the Delray Art Deco Ceiling Fan as follows:

COMPONENT  ---  WARRANTY PERIOD:

  • Fan Motor  ---  Lifetime of the original retail purchaser*
  • Capacitor & Pull-Chain Switches  ---  20 Years
  • Workmanship (not otherwise specified)  ---  10 Years
  • Neon housing light (if equipped)  ---  5 Years
  • LED housing light (if equipped)  ---  3 Years
  • Finish (chrome and acrylic)  ---  2 Years

The Warranty Period begins on the date of the fan’s sale to its original retail purchaser.

This Warranty transfers to all subsequent owners of the fan during the Warranty Period; the Warranty Period of the Fan Motor changes to 20 years if fan sold or transferred.*

* Lifetime motor warranty applies to private residential installations only.

If used in a commercial application, the Fan Motor Warranty Period is ten years.

If resold or transferred, the Fan Motor Warranty Period changes to twenty years from the date of the fan’s sale to its original retail purchaser.

If your Delray fan proves unsatisfactory under normal use, due to a defect in materials or workmanship, and it is during the relevant Warranty Period, the Neon Fan Company will repair or replace your defective fan (or component thereof), using new or refurbished replacement parts, at its sole discretion.

A replacement fan or component assumes the remaining Warranty Period of the fan or component it replaces.

This Warranty does not cover damage due to abuse, misuse, improper wiring, inadequate grounding, incorrect installation, post-manufacture modifications, incorrectly performed maintenance or repairs, over- or under-voltage, use with controls not approved by The Neon Fan Company, lightning strikes, power surges, use in an unconditioned space, use outdoors, failure of external equipment, or acts of God.

This Warranty does not cover damage which results from storing and/or transporting your Delray fan outside of its original factory packaging including: (1) original cardboard box, (2) original styrofoam box inserts molded specifically to fit the Delray fan, and (3) motor immobilizers. SAVE THE FACTORY PACKAGING !!

To obtain warranty service, you must first contact The Neon Fan Company to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you.

A return authorization must be obtained before sending fans or fan parts to us. We are unable to provide service on fans or fan parts sent in without a return authorization.

Please have dated proof of purchase (sales receipt) available when contacting us for warranty service.

If we determine that your fan (or a component thereof) needs to be sent back to us for repair by our technicians, we will repair and ship your fan back to you free of charge. You are responsible for the costs to remove your ceiling fan, ship your fan to us (one-way), and to reinstall your repaired fan.

If we determine that your fan (or a component thereof) needs to be replaced, we will ship you a replacement ceiling fan (or self-install component) free of charge, along with a prepaid shipping label for you to return the defective fan (or component) back to us at no cost to you. If we send you a replacement fan, you are responsible for the costs to remove your old ceiling fan and to install your replacement fan. If we send you a replacement self-install component, you are responsible for installing it.

If you ship your fan to us for warranty repair, and we determine upon inspection that your fan is ineligible for warranty coverage due to violating one of the warranty conditions outlined above (example: we determine your fan was installed outdoors), we will notify you of our findings and present you with three options:

  • Repair or replace the ineligible fan at your expense.
  • Ship the ineligible fan, un-repaired, back to you at your expense.
  • Dispose of the ineligible fan at your written request.

This warranty applies to Delray owners located in The United States of America, Canada, and Mexico only. There is no warranty coverage outside of North America.

All other products sold by the Neon Fan Company, unless explicitly stated otherwise in an item's product description, are sold with a 2-year limited warranty under the following terms:

  • The Neon Fan Company warrants that your product shall be free from defects in materials or workmanship, under normal use, during the Warranty Period.  No other warranties or guarantees are expressed or implied.
  • The warranty is made to the original purchaser only, and is non-transferable.
  • The repair or replacement of a product is your sole exclusive remedy.  In no event shall the Neon Fan Company be liable for incidental or consequential damages.
  • A replacement product assumes the remaining Warranty Period of the product it replaces.
  • Warranty does not cover damage due to abuse, misuse, improper wiring, inadequate grounding, incorrect installation, post-manufacture modifications, incorrectly performed maintenance or repairs, over- or under-voltage, use with controls not approved by The Neon Fan Company, lightning strikes, power surges, use in an unconditioned space, use outdoors, failure of external equipment, or acts of God.
