GENERAL QUESTIONS:

SHIPPING QUESTIONS:

  • Q.  How long until you ship my purchase?
  • A.  In general, neon ceiling fans have a 3 to 8 week lead time before shipping, depending on our shop workload.  High-volume orders may incur additional lead times.  If your order is time-sensitive, please contact us prior to purchase to make sure we can accommodate your needs.  While we are not able to guarantee specific shipping or delivery dates, we can give you a ballpark guess based on our workload and your selected product(s).
  • Q.  Which shipping carrier(s) are available?
  • A.  We ship all Delray™ fans via FedEx Ground.  Other items ship via USPS Priority Mail or FedEx Ground, depending on size.
  • Q.  Can I pay to upgrade to a faster shipping service, such as overnight or 2-day?
  • A.  Yes, but consider that the fee from FedEx for overnight shipping on a Delray™ fan is typically a $250 to $450 increase over the standard Ground shipping charge, depending on your zip code.  If you need to do this, please contact us and we will work with you to coordinate.  You will be responsible for the cost difference between standard Ground shipping and your desired service.  Please note that neon fans still require a 3 to 8 week production lead time before shipment.
  • Q.  Can you ship my fan to my P.O. box?
  • A.  Sorry, we ship all fans via FedEx Ground.  FedEx does not deliver to P.O. boxes.  Some of our other products (mainly parts & accessories) ship via USPS and can go to your P.O. box.
  • Q.  Is my shipment insured?
  • A.  Shipments sent via FedEx include $100 of liability.  Shipments sent via USPS Priority Mail include $50 of insurance.  If you wish to purchase additional insurance for the full value of your product, tick the appropriate checkbox on the product page.
  • Q.  What happens if my shipment is damaged in transit?
  • A.  Open your items as soon as they arrive and inspect for damage.  If your item is damaged during shipping, we must be notified within 24 hours of delivery.  A claim will be opened with the shipper.  If insurance covers the full cost of your product, we will re-send you an identical replacement item at no cost.  If the cost of your product exceeds the value of the insurance, we will credit the available insurance against the cost of a replacement item, and you are only responsible for the balance.  Please note that we are unable to provide free replacements for items reported as damaged more than 24 hours after delivery.
  • Q.  What if my shipment is damaged in transit, but I don't report it within 24 hours?
  • A.  If you're mechanically-inclined, you're welcome to purchase spare parts and repair the damage yourself.  Otherwise you can send it back to us and we will process it as a non-warranty repair:  you pay shipping both ways, we repair your fan using new parts at the prices shown on the spare parts diagram.  There is no charge for labor.
  • Q.  My product arrived later than I thought it would.  I no longer need it.  Can I get a refund?
  • A.  Sadly we cannot accommodate refunds.  All sales are final.  Please see our All Sales Final Policy.  If your order is time-sensitive, please contact us prior to purchase to make sure we can accommodate your needs.  Please note that a tracking number's expected delivery date is a "best estimate," not a guarantee.
  • Q.  I live in the Tampa Bay area.  Can I pick up my order in person?
  • A.  Yes!  We offer FREE DELIVERY within Pinellas County, FREE INSTALLATION within Pinellas County, and FREE LOCAL PICKUP for all Tampa Bay residents at our facilities in St. Pete, Pinellas Park, and Largo.  If you wish to request any of these options, contact us when you place your order.  We will schedule a timeslot for your pickup, delivery, and/or installation when your order is ready.

DELRAY™ PRODUCT QUESTIONS:

  • Q.  What is the difference between LED and neon?
  • A.  Stay tuned!  Answer coming soon.
  • Q.  Do you offer an LED version of the Delray™?
  • A.  Yes!  The LED version is available here.
  • Q.  Can I get a different color LED housing light than warm white?
  • A.  At this time, warm white is our only LED offering.  We specialize in genuine neon fans, on offer in 27 colorways.
  • Q.  Can I get a different color neon housing light than anything I see on your website?
  • A.  Yes!  We have most shades of Voltarc, EGL, and Technolux/Ablon glass in stock.  We can color-match to your existing logo or physical object.  See our Custom Neon Fans page for more information.
  • Q.  Can I swap out the LED light strip in my fan for a different LED strip?
  • A.  Yes!  We are hackers ourselves, and we encourage our DIY-oriented customers to hack your fans!  Any LED strip which physically fits, and matches the DC voltage/current specs of the fan's LED driver board, can be used "plug & play."  Please remember the following important points:
    • You are responsible for your own safety.  When you hack your fan you are bypassing the normal consumer safeguards, and exposing yourself to additional risk.
    • Turn off all incoming power at the circuit breaker.
    • You should be experienced and comfortable performing both AC and DC electrical work.
    • Negative outcomes of hacking your fan are not covered under warranty.
    • If you break something, we sell repair parts.
    • To prevent heat issues, mount your LED strip in the same manner as the original:  bolted to, and in direct contact with, the aluminum heat-sink.
    • Use thermal paste between your LED strip and the heat-sink.
    • Before doing any work on the LED system, and after shutting off power at the circuit breaker, discharge the two large electrolytic capacitors mounted on the driver board by shorting the terminals to each other using the metal tip of a screwdriver.  The capacitors can store an electrical charge capable of delivering a painful shock (up to 68 µF @ 170 volts).
    • Use dimmable LED chips.  Our LED fans ship with a dimmer switch built in, and feature a "line-side dimmable" driver board.
  • Q.  Why is the neon Delray™ fan not dimmable?
  • A.  The neon light is driven by an electronic power supply which requires full 120 VAC incoming power.  If you wire a line-side dimmer to the neon power supply, it will not dim the neon.  Instead, the power supply will suddenly shut down when there is no longer enough voltage going to it to run its internal computer chips.  A special dimmable version of the neon power supply is available, but it requires additional control wires that cannot be installed in a Delray™ fan due to space constraints.
  • Q.  Do you offer a fan without a built-in light?
  • A.  Yes!  The non-lit base version is available here.  This is functionally equivalent to the version of the Quorum Prizzm that was discontinued in 2022.
  • Q.  Which direction should my fan spin?
  • A.  Delray™ fans operate the opposite of nearly all other ceiling fans.  The Delray™ spins clockwise for downflow (summer) use, and counter-clockwise for upflow (winter) use.
  • Q.  My product doesn't work right.  How do I get help or utilize my warranty coverage?
  • A.  Call or text us at (850) 888-FANS.
  • Q.  Do you offer a 220-volt, 50 Hz version for export?
  • A.  This can be custom produced with a minimum order quantity of 500 units.  US-based exporters, contact us with your business bona fides for information on estimated pricing and lead times.
  • Q.  What neon tubing stock do you use?
  • A.  All of our neon ceiling fans use 10mm diameter tubing.  We use a mix of EGL, Voltarc, and Ablon/Technolux glass.  Our standard colors are:
    • Hot Pink = Ablon Violet (or Voltarc Purple) w/ neon gas.
    • Ruby (bright) = EGL Coated Ruby w/ argon gas.
    • Ruby (dim) = Ablon Uncoated Ruby w/ neon gas.
    • Plasma Fire = clear glass tube w/ neon gas.
    • Tangerine = EGL E-10 Green w/ neon gas.  If your design calls for all argon, we use Voltarc Majestic Orange instead.
    • Gold = Ablon Clear Gold w/ argon gas.
    • Green = EGL VP Green II w/ argon gas.
    • Turquoise = EGL Seacrest w/ argon gas.
    • Blue = Ablon Super Blue (or EGL Horizon Blue) w/ argon gas.
    • Purple = Ablon Violet (or Voltarc Purple) w/ argon gas.
    • Magenta = Ablon Magenta w/ argon gas.
    • Bubblegum = EGL Flamingo w/ argon gas.
    • Snow White = Voltarc 6500 Snow White w/ argon gas.
    • Antique White = EGL Designer 35 w/ argon gas.
    • Blacklight UV (high-output) = Voltarc Blacklight w/ argon gas.
    • Blacklight UV (Wood's glass) = Ablon Coated Blacklight w/ argon gas.
  • The special-order colors used on our Barbershop and Smokeshop fans are:
    • Cobalt = EGL Coated Bromo Blue w/ argon gas.
    • Deep Gold = EGL P-73 Novial Gold w/ argon gas.
    • Emerald = EGL Coated Emerald Green w/ argon gas.
  • For matching vintage neon fans:
    • When matching to powder blue Quorum Neon Prizzm model #420525-12), we use EGL E-40 Blue w/ argon gas.
    • When matching to hot pink Quorum Neon Prizzm (model #420525-18), we use EGL E-40 Blue w/ neon gas.
    • When matching to pink King of Fans Neon Illusions (model #52LULN), we use EGL Coral Pink w/ argon gas.

LIGHT KIT QUESTIONS:

  • Q.  Can I add my own accessory light kit?
  • A.  Stay tuned!  Answer coming soon.
  • Q.  Is it hard to add an accessory light kit later, after my fan is installed?
  • A.  Stay tuned!  Answer coming soon.
  • Q.  Do your accessory light kits include light bulbs?
  • A.  Yes, we bundle free LED light bulbs with all of our light kits.
  • Q.  What light bulbs come included with your accessory light kits?
  • A.  We use Philips WarmGlow LED bulbs for two reasons:
    • High CRI (Color Rendering Index) of 90-95 makes colors appear lifelike and natural, particularly important with skin and food.
    • The color temperature of the WarmGlow bulbs self-adjusts from 2700K gradually down to 2200K as the bulb is dimmed, identical to traditional incandescent bulbs.
The specific shape and type of bulb(s) you will receive varies by light kit model.
  • Q.  How do I control an accessory light kit?  Is it separate from the neon?
  • A.  Stay tuned!  Answer coming soon.

GENERAL QUESTIONS:

  • Q.  Can you fix my broken neon fan I bought years ago?
  • A.  Probably.  We can replace broken neon tubes and non-functional neon power supplies.  Please see our repair services page.  For replacements parts such as blades, blade irons, motors, etc., contact us.
  • Q.  Do you have a showroom where I can see your fans in person?
  • A.  If you are located in the Tampa Bay (Florida) area, please contact us for a private showing by appointment only.
  • Q.  Can I see real life color samples of your neon?
  • A.  If you are not located in the Tampa Bay area, the best solution is to walk into your local neon sign shop and ask to see their color samples.  There are only three companies that make the raw neon glass that every neon shop uses, so your local shop almost certainly has color samples of the same colors we use in our fans.  The three brands of neon glass we use are EGL, Voltarc, and Ablon (formerly known as Technolux).
  • Q.  Can you add neon to my non-neon ceiling fan?
  • A.  Possibly.  Contact us with a photo of your fan and a description of what you'd like us to do, and we will discuss a proposal with you.
