Pull-Chain Dimmer

The LED version of the Delray™ Art Deco ceiling fan features our innovative pull-chain dimmer switch!

The pull-chain dimmer adds the convenience and value of dimming, at no additional cost, with no additional wiring, and nothing extra to buy or install!

In addition to the basic on/off functionality found in any standard pull-chain switch, we implement dimming as follows:

  • FIRST Pull:  LED housing light turns ON at full brightness.
  • SECOND Pull:  LED housing light STARTS dimming.
  • THIRD Pull:  LED housing light STOPS dimming at current brightness.
  • NEXT Pull:  LED housing light RESUMES dimming.
  • Note:  The previous two steps repeat indefinitely.  Each additional short pull  of the chain will either Resume dimming, or Stop dimming at current brightness level.
  • LONG Pull:  (2+ sec.) LED housing light turns OFF.

Notes:

  • If the LED light is on, pull and HOLD the pull-chain for 2 seconds to turn it off.
  • If the LED light is on, and you pull the chain for less than 2 seconds, it will either start or stop the dimming sequence, but it will NOT turn off the LED light.  You must hold the pull-chain for 2 seconds to turn off the light.
  • When dimming, the LED pauses for 2 seconds each at the brightest and dimmest settings to indicate that the limit has been reached.  It will then reverse and dim in the opposite direction.  This dimming sequence will continue until the chain is pulled.
  • The LED light always comes on at full brightness; the pull-chain dimmer does not “remember” the last brightness setting used.  If this sort of brightness "memory" is important to you, consider the Wireless Remote Control version of our LED Delray™ fan, which does remember the LED's previous brightness setting when powered on.
  • Our genuine neon Delray™ fans are not dimmable.  Installing the pull-chain dimmer unit into one of our neon fans will not make it dimmable.  The pull-chain dimmer works with the LED version of the Delray ceiling fan only.
